Children's Leukaemia Society
'The charity that cares'
The Children’s Leukaemia Society is looking for Volunteers to help with collection in various stores from Pembroke to Swansea, Cardiff to Cwmbran which usually take place either Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
These collections are the ‘bread and butter’ of the organisation. The money is used to send sick and sometime dying children on holiday with their family at a time when it’s not always possible to be together. A time when families struggle because mum or dad are usually at the hospital, so these holidays give the parents, child and brothers and sisters ‘family’ time.
The money is also used to give gift vouchers to newly diagnosed children so that they can choose a gift to help them cope with the trauma of chemotherapy.
Leukaemia is a life changing illness to the child and the family and the Children’s Leukaemia Society are there to help in any way they can. If you would like to share in this wonderful work, then please think of volunteering. Your reward? Knowing you have helped in some small way.
